Fans of the critically- and commercially-acclaimed HBO series Game of Thrones can look forward to the premiere of the third season on March 31 of this year.

Based on the first half of the original A Storm of Swords novel by A Song of Ice and Fire series author George R. R. Martin, this latest season of the television series will introduce key characters whose appearances were delayed for season two including Jojen and Meera Reed.

And if you couldn’t get enough based on the short trailer, series showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss are choosing to adapt the 973-page Storm of Swords fan favorite and longest novel of the series by producing slightly longer episodes, averaging 56-57 minutes for each of the 10 episodes as opposed to last season’s 52.
