Discussing BOOST Technology with adidas

We were left much intrigued after adidas teased up with its initial BOOST video — a video showcasing the newly developed material’s immense characteristic for energy return, all the while insisting that it would ‘change running forever.’ Each sole made from this innovative material is comprised of approximately 2,500 EVA foam ‘energy capsules’ that absorb the impact from each stride and uses that stored energy to propel the user — translating into more speed and longer endurance in running. With such claims, we wanted to see what BOOST technology was all about, and were given the chance to do so with the Energy BOOST‘s unveiling in New York City. Speaking with key figures whom were involved in the development of BOOST — which we learned was five years in the making —  we gained a better understanding on the engineering behind the new innovation, and saw first hand adidas’s commitment towards running. With that said, we cannot wait to give the adidas Energy BOOST a proper testing.
