Joining New York, San Francisco and San Jose, this week marked the opening of MUJI‘s newest North American brick and mortar in Hollywood, California. At approximately 8,600 square feet, MUJI Hollywood is listed as the largest in the States, thus replacing one of its five locations in New York as the USA flagship. As always, the Japanese emporium will carry a slew of products that include office accessories, health and beauty products, clothing, kitchen goods, bedding, furniture, and so much more. But that’s not all. This location will also house a new line dubbed Found MUJI – a collection of vintage objects from around the world that have been reimagined through the brand’s signature clean, no-frills aesthetic. Furthermore, MUJI Hollywood will also be the first American store to carry food from various corners of the globe. The opening of its first location in Los Angeles marks what is intended to be a rapid stateside expansion with plans for 20 to 25 new MUJI stores in the USA alone over the next three years.
