Scottish synthpop trio Chvrches recently paid a visit to BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge where they performed a few of their own songs, in addition to covering iconic British boy band East 17’s 1994 hit single “Stay Another Day.” While East 17 has long fallen into hiatus, here Lauren Mayberry utilizes her ethereal vocals, Iain Cook and Martin Doherty take on synths and keys in rejuvenating the pop classic with forward-thinking riffs.
