Word circling the rumor mill is that Kanye West has opted out of his longstanding relationship with Nike, choosing to work with adidas’s Y-3 imprint instead. The new project, hereby referred to as “YEEZI,” was referred to by West at his November 20 show. Reportedly, the venture comes as a result of West spending time with Yohji Yamamoto during the 2014 Mercedes-Benz NYFW show. This shift marks the latest chapter of Yeezy’s ongoing ventures in high fashion, having recently spent time with a team in Milan to design his forthcoming namesake label.
