Peter Saville x Lacoste Holiday Collector's Series

For its 80th birthday, Lacoste has enlisted renowned graphic designer Peter Saville to rework the iconic L. 12. 12. polo shirt for its annual Holiday Collector Series. The English artist began his career as the art director and co-founder of Factory Records back in the late 1970s. He later entered the realm of fashion collaborating with a legendary list that included names like Yohji Yamamoto, Jil Sander, Christian Dior, Alexander McQueen, Givenchy and many more. Now approaching the wise age of 60, Saville aims to put a contemporary twist on the cult classic polo by tweaking the silhouette of Lacoste’s ubiquitous crocodile, but keeping its original white and green colorway intact. While the Holiday Collector Series offers eight different designs for both men and women, Lacoste and Saville will also release a limited edition collection comprised of 80 individually numbered shirts all sporting a completely unique logo. Each of those tops will also be signed by the designer himself.
