To celebrate its first year, California retailer BAIT has teamed up with Colorado’s Akomplice to produce a special colorway of the Onitsuka Tiger Colorado Eighty-Five. The collaborative shoe draws from Akomplice’s Colorado roots, starting with the name “6,200 FT,” which is a reference to the elevation of Akomplice founders Mike and Patrick Liberty’s hometown of Carbondale, Colorado. The shoes themselves feature plenty of rugged details like reinforced ripstop panels and braided rope lace. The colors used — red, white, blue and yellow — are a direct nod to Colorado’s state flag and the state-inspired design extends to the insole and hangtag, both of which feature a map of the state’s ski slopes; the hang tag also doubles as a lift ticket. The collaborative shoe is set to release at BAIT, in-store and online, on its one-year anniversary: October 19. Just 504 pairs have been made so if you’d like to get yourself a pair, you can stop by in-store to get a reservation ticket or register online here between October 14-17.
