In a three-way mash-up, Naked & Famous Denim x Big John x Rockin’ Jelly Bean create a special limited-edition drop of jeans. Crafted from Big John’s signature 14.5 oz. Ruri raw blue selvedge denim woven in Okayama, Japan, the Ruri denim color is inspired by one of the seven treasures of Buddhism: Lapis Lazuli. Featuring a uber tight 13” leg opening, the jeans are cut to Naked & Famous Denim’s Super Skinny Guy fit. The pair is finished off with art courtesy of Japanese pop artist Rockin’ Jelly Bean. Not only does he provide the artwork for the leather patch and pocket flasher, but he also includes a collectible Rockin’ Jelly Bean print with each pair. Other details include Big John logo buttons and rivets, screen-printed pocket bags, and a hidden selvedge coin pocket. As if the jeans couldn’t get any more local, they were all sewn using vintage machinery in Japan. The collection is currently available at Barneys New York.
