In anticipation of Parker‘s release on January 25, artist Mark Dean Veca recently took to the streets to paint two pieces inspired by the movie. The murals were the conclusion of “Art of the Heist,” a contest that invited the public to create works of art evoking the spirit of the film, with eventual winner Jeff Farris flown to Los Angeles to see the completion of his entry at Melrose and La Brea. Starring Jason Statham and Jennifer Lopez, Parker is a story of a double-crossed thief who forms an unlikely alliance with a female insider to hijack his ex-partners’ heist.
