While Frank Ocean‘s song “Pink Matter” was originally slated to feature both OutKast emcees, André 3000 had other ideas which prevented Big Boi from lending his verse. Explained back in July of last year, Big Boi shared that the reason for his absence was because:
Dre didn’t want an Outkast Record Coming out on anybody else’s LP.
Being that it has been nearly six years since fans last heard the two ATLiens, Big Boi took to his Tumblr over the weekend, and shared the included photo of his freshly penned verse for Frank’s track, along with the following caption:
Dropping a verse on this Frank Ocean “Pink Matter”
It has since been confirmed that the OutKast-featured track will surface sometime next week, according to Consequence of Sound, and in addition to “Pink Matter,” Big Boi also revealed that he’ll also be appearing on an updated version of T.I. and André 3000’s “Sorry.” Who’s ready for not one, but two, new OutKast records?
