Literally translated to mean “flying forward,” Feiyue symbolizes the “dual elevation of both body and mind” according to Chinese tradition. The brand itself was elevated from relative obscurity a few years back, and its popularity with sneakerheads and hipsters today attests to the heights to which the label has risen. With new French ownership and a wider, international customer base, the brand has been involved in a number of unconventional partnerships and campaigns in recent years. The latest, a sneaker/headphone combination, was produced in conjunction with IN2 headphones of Universal Music Group. Both Feiyue’s A.S High and IN2’s headphones were designed to match perfectly, with blue canvas and perforated suede construction and flashes of bright red. Additionally, the collaboration’s logo was embroidered onto both the sneakers’ tongues and the inside arch of the headphones, making for a smart and dynamic combination. The limited edition set will release in October at select international retailers and online.
