With a long heritage of cottages along the street scape of Geelong West, Australia, architect Steve Domoney ads contemporary design to Hope Street’s own. Steve merges new installments with the undertone of charcoal and monotonic white from the cottage’s foundation, resulting in a much more space-conscious layout. The space is varied in proportions from smaller, more snug accommodations to wider sections with open flow to help achieve Domoney’s aim of “transition.” Built for the contemporary family with luxury facilities including a gym, games room, pool and retreat, the cottage has it all, including a short walk to the beach.
