Tim Maclean Mixes Superheroes with Mythological Figures in "Fragments & Phantoms" Exhibition
What could one expect if the Marvel or DC Comic heroes were part of the universe of Greek

What could one expect if the Marvel or DC Comic heroes were part of the universe of Greek mythology? Contemporary surrealist painter Tim Maclean is exploring the reality of this altered fantasy in his latest exhibition at the Subtext Gallery in San Diego. Maclean’s renditions imagine Spider-Man as Hermes, The Hulk as Hercules, or Batman as Hades — who do you think would make the best Zeus? You can pick up any one of the still-remaining original prints here, or just check out the exhibition in person when it opens at Subtext on July 14.
