PoPPY OIL "Sampler of Garapagos" Exhibition @ Stussy Fukuoka

The Stussy Fukuoka chapter will be hosting the works of local Japanese artist PoPPY OIL. Titled “Sampler of Garapagos,” the solo exhibition will feature a series of collages painstakingly assembled from a wide variety of sophisticated, yet offbeat influences. And if any of the components of his artwork look familiar, much of PoPPY’s work samples CD and record covers, logos, posters, music videos and web design to assemble each unique collage. To celebrate the exhibition and collaboration with Stussy, the chapter will also be presenting a limited edition Stussy x PoPPY OIL “Since 1980” shirt which features the artist’s headlining work used to promote the event. The exhibition starts on July 25 and runs through August 5.
