PRPS 2012 Fall/Winter Lookbook

Donwan Harrell’s made-in-Japan NYC-based label PRPS reveals the inspiration for its 2012 fall/winter lookbook. Seven Years in Tibet is a 1997 film based on the true story about an Austrian mountaineer who becomes friends with the Dalai Lama, and PRPS adds to its luxurious line that very essence of Tibetan excitement and color. Reflecting an array of natural mountainous tones including Summit Yellow, Sherpa’s Wine, Expedition Orange and Tibet Sand, Harrell uses British Millerain and Melton wool among other materials to create a unique collection of the finest utilitarian looks. These include parkas and anoraks with functional cargo pockets, intricately patterned knits recalling authentic Tibetan aprons, colorful hand-sprayed corduroy shirts, rustic sun-faded western shirts, premium heavy enzyme stone-bleached sulfur-dyed Japanese denim, and rich goat and calfskin leather details.
