Just as the Grammy Award-winning producer/artist completes one repertoire-expanding project, he gives word to yet another. Earlier this morning via a press release, Kanye West offered details regarding two of his highly anticipated and much speculated initiatives – the G.O.O.D. Music compilation album and a secretive film that was recently rumored to have been shot in Qatar. The album will be titled Cruel Summer and will be accompanied by a short film inspired by the album. Scheduled to debut May 23 in Cannes as part of the DONDA collective, the “out of competition” film promises “a fusion of short film and art installation” and an “immersive seven-screen experience.” Following the premiere, Cruel Summer will be open to the public for two days.
