If you have a taste for the macabre, check out “rise of pain in dreams,” the showpiece vinyl figure presented by coarsetoys. While the pictures may not belie its size, the haplessly wounded figure was originally sculpted by Mark Landwehr to a massive 1:3 scale (69 cm x 35.5 cm x 18 cm) back in 2010. Coarsetoys then took two years to painstakingly transform the original sculpture into an impressively detailed, and faithfully recreated vinyl piece, which will be available for purchase from Coarsetoys on June 12 for $5,880 HKD (approximately $760 USD). Before you hop in line for a purchase, there’s a significant depth of backstory that surrounds the plight of the wounded and embalmed figure, which can be read here.
