American designer Mark McNairy links up with Los Angeles fashion boutique, Union, to mint a new Saddle Shoe for Spring 2012. McNairy handled the shoe’s design, and left the superlative construction to Sanders & Sanders Shoes of the UK. The shoe is stitched together using the traditional Goodyear Welt method, and is available in two colors — either a mottled black or brown full-grain leather with a sharply contrasting blue brick sole. Further contrasting white eyelets and white laces round out this bold reinterpretation of a classic. If you’d like to pick up a pair, availability is now offered through Union where the shoes retail for $398 USD.
