Santigold: Making of 'Master of My Make-Believe' album cover
After getting our first sighting of her upcoming album Master of My Make-Believe not too long
After getting our first sighting of her upcoming album Master of My Make-Believe not too long ago, Santigold gives us a behind-the-scenes look at the photoshoot. One of the most notable things to stand out on the cover is the large painting in the background, depicting Santigold as an army officer created by Kehinde Wiley. The portrait references styles from the 18th-century British artist Joshua Reynolds’s painting of Banastre Tarleton titled Portrait of an Officer, and is Wiley’s first painting of a woman ever. Check out the full making of her cover up top, and Master of My Make-Believe due out on May 1.
