Parisian creative imprint Kitsune recently released their 14th compilation, coinciding with the label’s 10th anniversary. Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki yet again deliver a beautiful album which features a few alumnus (Is Tropical, Two Doors Cinema Club, Punks Jump Up) and a list of hot new recruits (Lorenz Rhode, Saint Lou Lou, Rebecca Molina). To promote Two Door Cinema Club’s tour in Tokyo, Kitsune has released an exclusive mix which features synth-pop affiliate Punk Jump Up on a remix tip of “Sun” – the second single from highly acclaimed LP Beacon. Here, the emotive riff-heavy piece receives a flamboyant dance-punk rework, exhibiting attributes from both bands. Two Door Cinema Club is set to finish off their Asian tour with two more dates this weekend – tonight in Yokohama and tomorrow in Tokyo.
