Currently Chinese artist Yue Minjun is showing a selection of works at Parisian space Fondation Cartier, based around his pervasive laughing themed pieces depicted in a colorful pseudo-realistic manner. Titled “L’ombre D’un Fou Rire” (The Shadow of a Laugh), the exhibition will showcase among other creations a set of drawings never shown to the public, in the company of around 40 paintings curated from collections around the world for this showing. The opening marks Minjun’s premiere event in a European forum and is set to run through March 17, 2013.
