New Balance 2013 Spring/Summer Performance Footwear Preview
Boston-based New Balance is set to release a well-rounded range of performance footwear and apparel
Boston-based New Balance is set to release a well-rounded range of performance footwear and apparel for Spring/Summer 2013, adding to its already-impressive selection of athletic and lifestyle products. Included among the new offerings will be revamped iterations of established silhouettes, as well as an array of new, innovative footwear options. The 860 V3 — available now — makes a return in a vibrant, NYC-based colorway and its signature blend of lightweight cushioning and support, while new versions of the well-received 890 and 997 cross-trainer are also set to drop. Highlighting the collection however, is New Balance’s innovative Minimus collection and HI-REZ road shoe. Closer to a barefoot-like experience than ever before, the Minimus HI-REZ utilizes 42 independent lightweight midsole pods that provide protection and flexibility, while skeletally engineered FantomFit uppers encourage runners to go sockless. The 4.3 ounce sneaker — along with the rest of the Minimus collection — anchors what appears to be a comprehensive, exciting foray into the performance shoe market for the upcoming year. Browse through initial images of the new performance silhouettes above, and look for the new releases to drop soon at New Balance’s website and worldwide stockists.
