Benny Gold and Knockaround Celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge

Besides their shared backgrounds in art and design, both Benny Gold and Adam “Ace” Moyer of Knockaround Sunglasses call California home. To commemorate their love for the state and the 75th anniversary of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge, the duo recently partnered for a pair of limited-edition “1937” sunglasses that alluded to the iconic landmark and its surroundings. Each pair featured frosted orange frames that faded to a translucent foggy hue — representing the Gate as it peeks through SF’s famous fog bank — while polarized blue lenses drew their color from Bay Area waters. Only 400 pairs of these limited-edition sunglasses were made and each came with a hand-numbered commemorative card, screen-printed box and pouch, quickly selling out in an hour.
