In anticipation of tomorrow’s UNDERCOVER x Nike GYAKUSOU 2012 fall/winter collection release, here is a closer look at the footwear that will be available with the drop. Comprised of the Nike Free 3.0 v4 and LunarSpeed Lite running silhouettes, this season’s sneakers continue on with the tradition of lightweight and natural-motion shoes that have been showcased since the partnership’s inception. Designer Jun Takahashi has, in the past, revealed his almost spiritual connection with running and this is reflected in Fall/Winter 2012’s “Autumn Monks” theme and a color palette that draws from the hues of Japan’s natural settings — rich purple, slate grey, saturated blue, deep red and black. Individually, the Nike Free 3.0 v4 is the sneaker most intended to give the wearer a barefoot running experience, while the LunarSpeed Lite provides runners with ample cushioning despite its flexibility and light weight. Look for both models to release in men’s and women’s colorways tomorrow at select retailers like Sneakersnstuff.
