The latest craze in experimental photography seems to center around the artistic technique that layers multiple images atop of one another, which has been aptly dubbed multi-layered composite photography. Recently we’ve seen Stephanie Jung’s photographs of European cities and Pep Ventosa’s impressionistic take on famous landmarks, however Florian Mueller looks to reach the heart of the 8 million people that reside in New York with his Multivision series. “A new series of multi-layered and multi-exposured photographies. Hectic and calming at the same time. A kind of contemplating wimmelbild,” says Mueller of his work.
