WAREHOUSE Heller’s Café HC-035 Denim

Japanese fashion brand WAREHOUSE takes heritage seriously. For their new sub-label, everything from the design of the denim to the actual name of the brand was inspired by painstaking research into classic Americana. Entitled Heller’s Café, a moniker inspired by an actual establishment that existed in the U.S. during the 1870s, the brand’s emphasis is on exquisitely appointed, handmade Japanese denim. Their HC-035 model is a complete replica of the way jeans looked in the workwear period of 1870-1910 – down to a relaxed straight leg fit, 13oz denim and cloth logo tag on the upper back waist. An interesting fact is that Levi’s apparently invented the leather tag for denim, so before their inception all branded pants featured cloth tags.
