First mover advantage, the best command over the supply change and Apple’s undeniable design
First mover advantage, the best command over the supply change and Apple’s undeniable design aesthetic made the iPad and its recent iPad 2 release certain for a bright start. As other electronic manufacturers play catch-up, another tablet effort worth mentioning takes shape with the Galaxy Tab 10.1. Heralded for its thinness, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 comes in as even thinner with the dimensions of 256.6 x 172.9 x 8.6 mm and 595 g versus the iPad 2 Wi-Fi’s similar footprint of 241.2 x 185.7 x 8.8 mm and 601 g. The internals feature a 1Ghz dual-core processor, stereo speakers, Flash support and Android’s 3.0 Honeycomb OS. Pricing wise, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 offers a competitive option at $500 USD for the 16GB Wi-Fi model and $600 USD for the 32GB Wi-Fi version.
