It’d be wise if other car manufacturers took note of what Mercedes-Benz did to drum up anticipation for their 2012 SL Roadster. Pairing the luxury vehicle with Calvin Klein supermodel Lara Stone, as well as photographer Alex Prager, the result is a beautifully shot campaign. Inspired by film noir, the behind the scenes footage showcases a pictorial in which Stone is supposedly outrunning a tornado in the Roadster. This project is part of a larger showcase dubbed “Icons of Style” which will be seen in its entirety at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week which takes place from February 9-15, 2012.
