New York-based Outlier drop release what we feel has all the makings of an instant classic with their 60/30 Khaki. The basis of the khaki was the need to create something that had the durability of a mountaineering parka but the feel of a cotton twill. Enter Sierra Designs’ popular 60/40 (cotton/nylon) technical material of the 70’s which offered good water resistance, durability and breathability. Outlier slightly tweaked the materials for their own use by utilizing more cotton (64%), less nylon (29%) and integrating elastane (7%). In addition, a self-cleaning nanosphere treatment ensures a self-cleaning material. Both tan and olive colorways are available through Outlier with a retail price of $157 USD.
