Although many have incorporated Arc’teryx into their every day life, the launch of the Veilance collection last year provided a more fashion-driven approach which embodied the same quality and focus on materials that has come to mark the Canadian brand. A look into their 2010 spring/summer collection once again combines well-known technical fabrics with some useful detailing to provide users with a solid-wearing experience. The collection can be seen online over at Arc’teryx.

Arc’teryx easy-moving new collection of Veilance shirts, pants, jackets, and blazers combines technical fabrics with innovative construction and meticulous attention to detail. The Spring collection features architecturally-inspired 3-D patterning and extensive use of gussets for exceptional comfort.

Veilance designer Conroy Natchigall says, “Like the seasons, our Spring collection is a counterpoint to what we offered previously. Summer in putatively Northern cities like Berlin, Toronto, and Tokyo can be a hot, muggy, and occasionally uncomfortable affair. The search for light, versatile fabrics drove the technical end of many of these pieces.”

Several LT versions of existing Veilance items reflect this seasonal change, including pants like the Cargo LT pants, a pant that Natchigall says “can be utilized for a variety of tasks during the day but is presentable enough for going out to dinner at night.”

Lightweight functionality is enhanced by a brighter color palette that includes hues of putty, manila, and carbide.

Currently available for purchase at selected boutiques or on-line, the Spring 2010 Veilance collection can be viewed atveilance.arcteryx.com
