Looking back into their archives, Oliver Peoples will release some of the brand’s iconic quintessential models from the mid-80’s. The idea to re-introduce vintage frames came from the discovery of many old frames that were acquired by Oliver Peoples founder Larry Leight. As many people still embrace the style and quality of vintage frames, it made perfect sense for the American eyewear label to re-release some limited edition frames. Three styles will include the OP-505 (from 1987), the 1955 (from 1988) and the O’Malley (from 1988). To further contribute to the legacy of Oliver Peoples original run of eyewear, the same factory was also utilized to preserve the quality and stylings. The Vintage Re-Release collection was shot with Jay Penske’s Dragon Books as the backdrop and will be available at Oliver Peoples boutiques and select Saks Fifth Avenue stores.
