In relatively art-starved Asian hub of Hong Kong, American artist Richard Prince is set to make his mark on a public art installation of massive proportions. For the artist best-known for his work with Marc Jacobs and his own iconic style of appropriation, the Hong Kong Museum of Art in Tsim Sha Tsui will serve as his backdrop with the theme of Prince’s “After Dark” series behind his direction. The exhibition will include a number of different mediums on hand from paintings and photographs to video installations under the moniker of “Louis Vuitton: A Passion for Creation”. The exhibition includes works from Jeff Koons, Bertrand Lavier and Stephen Sprouse, all who have contributed work to the Fondation Louis Vuitton pour la Création. The opening set to take place on Friday, May 22nd wlll include the attendance of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton chairman Bernard Arnault, Marc Jacobs, Prince, Takashi Murakami and Frank Gehry. The exhibition will wrap up on Sunday, August 9th.
