Barry McGee x RVCA x Cinelli
With the growing popularity of the track bike movement, track frames are quickly becoming the hot topic for customization among a growing list of alternative templates for art coming to fruition as of late. From electronics to sneakers and surfboards, track frames merge together the world of art and consumerism. For the upcoming “Pressure” art exhibition put on by Cinelli bikes and RVCA, Barry McGee’s bike seen here joins a list of artists including Ashley Macomber, Clare Rojas, C.R. Stecyk III, Dan Murphy, DMOTE, Jesse Geller, Josh Lazcano, KAWS, Madsaki, Phil Frost, RVCA founder PM Tenore and Stephen Powers. The inaugural showing is set for June 19th, at RVCA’s flagship store in San Francisco with subsequent trips to Austin, Texas, the home of multiple Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong and his newly opened store Mellow Johnny’s. The Barry McGee set is limited to 50 sets in three sizes, 54, 56 and 58.
