3Sixteen is at it again, and this time they teamed up with OC-based sunglasses manufacturer, Sabrevision, to create their very first sunglasses design. With Sabrevision’s Sunday frame as a base, 3Sixteen added marbled acetate frame, smoked gradient lenses, and the classic 3Sixteen script logo engraved on the left leg. The sunglasses have three colorways: Amber, Blue, and Grey, and will come in a special custom dust bag. It will be available at select 3Sixteen accounts in June. The new royalty is definitely taking over the reigns with their ever-expanding product lines.
New graphic tees designed by Junya Watanabe for COMME des GARCONS. These graphics refer to Japanese post-war advertising, with new American influences. These all over prints, cover the ribbing of the crew-neck collar and is beyond the regular BET bootleg Vuitton remix all-over print tee. More to come on intelligent graphics from COMME des GARCONS.

We are used to the finest quality of Moncler’s down jackets, and the latest product from the Italian/French luxury company are a series of soft goods in the form of cotton 2 hole polos and a full button down. The style is described as “Mode du Marine” and “Preppy”. Country club season is definitely the theme in contrast to the alpine season’s looks we’ve seen in the past. There are large logos on the sleeve to get your bang for your buck, and we can’t find photos of this product anywhere else so stay tuned for more details. These shirts will be available at the new “Edifaux Materiaux” location in Ginza.

“10AC Brainstorming” is an interview on Houyhnhnm mag with the extremely knowledgeable designers behind Nike’s high-tech 10AC line. The article discusses the unique process behind the creation of this superior sports wear technology. We are also able to gain insight about the people who are behind the scenes. The key to excellent design in this case is taking the time to do things properly and “communication”. The article is thus called “10AC Brainstorming”. A key element of the garments are light-weight breathable fabrics, and “Dri Fit” fabric technology. This consists more or less of moisture expelling treatments and high breathability, keeping the body and clothes free of perspiration. The Spring/Summer ‘08 line was built around one theme color “Orange Blaze” and we can see this utilized on the windbreaker and pants, using an Orange that fades into white fumes.
Goodenough has released some of their products for 2008, including some tees and plaid button-downs. Some pieces within the collection represents the idea of flocking with dot designs that almost resemble crop circles. The neon shirts that comes in black, white, and yellow will definitely brighten up any room with a glowing graphic design. It seems like no matter what they come out with, it’s always more than good enough for us!
