On March 13th, the Japanese brand, WTAPS, will launch their new website. Traditionally, top tier street brands have been reluctant or slow to launch their presence online but slowly that seems to be changing.
It will be interesting to see what WTAPS.COM will have to offer.
Silver Spoon Attire is a cutting edge label created by London based design duo Damian Collins and Avigail Claire. Last year, their fledging capsule range quickly gained momentum with those in the know as they skilfully reinvented the leather jacket with an edge of street wear flair. With the launch of their anticipated first full collection, Silver Spoon Attire has taken their creations one step further. The collection includes cashmere lined jackets, crafted from butter-soft Italian lamb nappa, suede and leather pencil skirts and crotchet knit cardigans. Key pieces include perforated leather jackets with cashmere lining, blue suede belted dresses and organic t-shirts made with 70% bamboo. The collection will be in stores from end of July. Check online at www.silverspoonattire.com for up to date stockist details.

To celebrate the March 8th opening of the Stussy Las Vegas Chapter, fellow LV retailers Undefeated and Fruition teamed up with Stussy to create a commemorative t-shirt. The shirt features an array of colorful ribbons emblazoned with slogans and logos from each of the brands. The shirt makes a nod to the parallels between the trifecta of winning retailers, and the Triple Crown honor awarded for sports excellence. There will also be 50 pieces in a special surprise colorway available only at Fruition.
Within the next few hours, two influential members of the Japanese fashion world, Tetsu Nishiyama of WTAPS and Shinsuke Takizawa of Neighborhood will open the doors to their Hoods venture. Hoods will act as a haven for both Neighborhood and WTAPS products as both brands establish themselves in their first venture outside of Japan. We recently had a chance to check out the space occupying a spot on the quaint little On Lan Street in Hong Kong’s Central district. The store, much like the surrounding spaces are long and narrow and encompass multiple floors and provides a sort of equilibrium effect with its immediate neighbors BBC | Ice Cream. A special exhibition involving custom tees is on display as part of the Previously Opening Exhibition taking place tomorrow until the stores opening April 1st. Currently the only items for sale include the Hoods Hong Kong “Bombers” t-shirt, retailing for $499 HKD (approximately $64 USD).
