Lego celebrates 50 years of brick building fun this year. Although not the originator of interlocking blocks, LEGO’s dominance and innovation over the years is captured in this huge time line. As a kid, I never got the cool pre-themed sets (pirates and knights), instead needing to settle for the regular colored blocks to fully flex my imaginative powers. Known for their simple and minimalist aesthetic, Japanese label Victim have put their own twist on the classic Chuck Taylor-esque Pro-Keds Royal America. The sneakers were produced with a pre-yellowed sole for a vintage feel and are available in two different colorways, black and brilliant white. 300 pairs of each color were produced. Wieden + Kennedy is an independent creative advertisement agency that is responsible for some of Nike’s biggest Ad campaigns including the Nike SB “Chalk” Campaign, the Nike “The Beginning” Lebron campaign and many more.
