Almost 16 years since it’s inception, XLarge has continued to be at the pinnacle of mixing the gen-x with living large. XLarge originally began in Los Angeles as a retail location for some of the hottest brands at the time including adidas, Carhartt, Ben Davis, Puma and of course the XLarge in-house brand. This inevitably led to something bigger. Within 13 months, another XLarge shop, XLarge Japan, had already opened up. In the infantile stage of streetwear, some could say it was XLarge who was at the roots of defining t-shirts as a staple wardrobe. From the beginning to 2007, Eli Bonnerz has been at the reins of this wildly successful label.
Today we present a look at XLarge’s Fall 2007 collection which marks a stepping stone to a planned official relaunch in Spring of 2008. The official relaunch next Spring will be XLarge’s start to re-educate the upcoming generation of streetwear enthusiasts about XLarge’s past history.
On the heels of the 2007 IRAK NY x adidas Torsion we brought you a few days ago comes what appears to be another version of this collaboration that is quickly drawing attention. As signaled by the 2008 seen on the orange suede upper, this could be the 2nd release from IRAK and adidas for next year. Aside from the obvious 2008 release date, stay tuned for more details.
