No country is more elegant than France, no city is more French than Paris, and no Parisian boutique is as chic as Sarah Andelman’s colette. Located on the Rue Saint Honoré and established alongside her mother, Colette Roussaux, back in 1997, Andelman’s renowned storefront has long been the one must-stop in the City of Light for couture lovers, streetwear aficionados, and tech nerds alike (there’s a reason the boutique was the first independent retailer to stock the Apple Watch). Renowned for its discerning eye and eclectic stock, colette is home to everything from Valentino, Thom Browne, and Coach to Nike, OAMC, and OFF-WHITE -- and if it’s fresh off the runway and up-and-coming, you’d better bet that the boutique will have it in stock. Apple Watch aside, 2015 was especially noteworthy as colette continued its storied collaborative history by linking up with everyone from André Saravia, Jean Jullien, and RAINS to Louis Vuitton, La MJC, Diadora and ASICS. Andelman even hosted a Steve Harrington exhibition and let the Californian decorate the store’s exterior with a dose of psychedelic pop. Did we mention she joined forces with hometown footballing giant Paris Saint-Germain? Or that she released an exclusive capsule collection with McDonald’s? She was even tapped by smart to give away 18 custom editions of its fourtwo automobile. Needless to say, if you’re looking for it (whether it’s a car or pair of kicks), colette and Andelman have it.
