Few labels have successfully undergone the kind of transformation Stampd has embarked upon. Originally founded back in 2009 as an outlet for custom hand-painted Chuck Taylors, Chris Stamp’s eponymous imprint has become one of the most well-loved around as it’s left its streetwear roots behind in favor of Stamp’s minimalist vision. Utilitarian yet upscale at the same time, Stampd has come to prominence largely through its clean silhouettes and signature black and white aesthetic -- a look that’s been injected with greens and greys as of late while retaining its largely tonal, monochromatic leanings. Now associated more with strap-adorned bombers and infinitely layerable apparel than with footwear, Stamp’s 2015 saw him named as a Best New Menswear Designer by GQ before linking up with clothing giants GAP for a slick capsule collection. Stampd even got back to its footwear roots, introducing its very own in-house designs while also taking on the R698 as a part of its collaboration with PUMA. The 31-year-old designer even entered the realm of womenswear for the very first time. If you’re into sleek silhouettes, reimagined military-inspired outerwear, reinterpreted footwear classics, and an understated color palette, Stamp and his booming young label have you covered.
