As Supreme’s brand director, not many of the label’s releases see the light of day without Baque’s final approval. Heading the communications and creative direction to much of the revered skate imprint’s outputs, Baque plays a pivotal role in the Supreme’s operations. Aside from straddling his time between styling, art direction and marketing, Baque also runs his own Awake label which continues the New York creative’s grungy disposition towards modern tailoring. Under Baque’s lead, Supreme has had another stellar year working with COMME des GARÇONS, Champion, The North Face, and more. While the offerings from Awake have been scarce, what’s surfaced thus far keeps us anticipated for more as the new year unfolds.
