Who can forget the circus show that unfolded June 17th as OJ Simpson drove his white Ford Bronco down Interstate 405. Artist Patrick Martinez questions what was more difficult, rushing for 2,000 yards or getting away with a double homicide. Artist Greg "Craola" Simkins offered his own interpretation of Upper Playground's famous walrus mascot. Producing a 7 inch toy vinyl, the Dr. Seuss influenced walrus features a top hat and a Gothic bunny hand puppet. 100 toys are available exclusively at Upper Playground's San Francisco store and Upper Playground.

A selection of New Era 59Fifty fitted caps have released as part of Upper Playground's 2008 January Winter Collection releases. The three caps all feature designs by familiar Upper Playground associates, the Date Farmers, Jeremy Fish and Nunca. superFishal started off their inaugural campaign strong with their first release. Already in place is a strong collection of apparel backed by an ongoing skate deck collaboration project. Each piece is the brain child of San Francisco artist Jeremy Fish. One of his releases for the holiday season include this belt buckle created in collaboration with Upper Playground. This buckle represents just a taste of things to come this winter.
Estevan Oriol originally began his career in the entertainment industry in the late 1980s. It was during this period that he made contacts which allowed him to adequately express his vivid range of emotions and experiences. His ability to capture the absolute trueness of the situation made him a sought after commodity in urban and hip-hop scene. Aside from his work as a photographer, Oriol's other exploits includes Joker Brand Clothing and the direction of music videos.
This 2007 Fall/Winter Collection created in cooperation with Upper Playground features some of Oriol's classic and distinct imagery. These t-shirts evoke certain feelings and capture the essence of what has made Oriol such a popular figure. Look for these shirts to hit select accounts in the coming weeks.
