In conjunction with the Women’s Tennis Association, photographer Dewey Nicks presents “Strong is Beautiful” – a short film featuring split-screen matches between the likes of Serena Williams, current world number one Caroline Wozniacki, and others. “Strong is Beautiful” also includes 40 of the biggest names in women’s tennis as Nicks captures the inner strength of the players in an artistic way with his 600-frames-per-second Phantom EFX camera. As one of the WTP’s major tournaments near, Sony is advertising their association with Wimbledon’s final with a remake of one of their previous commercials. Adapted to focus on an obvious tennis theme, the spot follows a massive flow of bouncing tennis balls. The Wimbledon finals will be filmed in 3D by Sony and subsequently shown on the BBC HD channel. An online tennis ball hunt is taking place across the internet with several prizes up for grabs including VIP tickets to the women’s final. More information can be seen here.

The details of the sneaker are immediately visible thanks to translucent Flywire panels and a lightweight and resilient Lunarlon cushioning system. Each player receives a day and night set of apparel and well as matching footwear, reminiscent of those throwback days of the 90s. Nike has unveiled the kit manufactured specifically for Rafael Nadal to be worn at this years French Open. It includes a pair of Nike Air Court Ballistec 2.3′s in a Grey/Green with a flexible DragOnX upper for increased comfort, speed and mobility and a corresponding 4-toned dri-fit crew cut shirt with a pair of white shorts to match.
