Los Angeles-based OG SLICK hooked up with CALE of K2S in this latest video from DISSIZIT. Set to the classic Super Marios Bros. theme, the video sees the two artists covering the walls of the facility in art paying homage to the groundbreaking platformer. Complete with their own unique style, the graffiti features everyone from Mario and Yoshi to the famous locales through which they traverse.

After seeing an inaugural release via the Chuck Taylor All Star collection, Converse Japan debuts its latest iteration to the Super Mario Bros. collaborative footwear program. Aptly titled the One Star Super Mario Bros. Ox, the storied silhouette is mocked up in a polished black leather upper and set atop a pure white outsole. Cleverly applied Super Mario Bros. visuals see their way to a pixelized Mario motif emblazoned across the rear heel, while a bold yellow star finds its presence within the customary One Star niche across the outer panel. Delineating the shoe’s overall aesthetic, red interior leather lining, and the cup insole also have original Mario Bros. print. A well-executed testament to the longevity and relevance of both the Super Mario Bros. franchise as well as the rich history of the Converse brand, the One Star Super Mario Bros. Ox will be offered for ¥12,600 JPY (approximately $166 USD) at the end of March.

The video game world’s most storied franchise, Super Mario Bros. from Nintendo celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. Converse jumps on board to pay homage to the original NES version of the game with a monogram style set over the Chuck Taylor All Star. The 8-bit character is applied in several different ways all along either black or white uppers. Available starting July.
