A series of graphic tees have been rolled out by STPL as part of its Fall/Winter 2011 collection. Infusing an auto shop theme to the design, this extensive arrangement of shirts feature smart and clean designs that are a strong testament to jeffstaple’s graphical background. Montreal retailer Off The Hook present a short but well-curated selection of looks representing STPL’s Spring/Summer 2011 lineup. The range features several twists on wardrobe staples such as button-ups and jackets as well as fan favorite Pigeon New Era 59FIFTY fitted caps.

jeffstaple and co. are putting together an upcoming fundraiser titled #helpjapan. Many people have contemplated how to best utilize their efforts and resources to make their mark. While some have gone the product route, the desire to just donate for the sake of donating became the catalyst for the event. For anybody who supports, they will be given a red badge which acts dually as a rally cry in hopes of drumming up support. See jeffstaple’s own words below with an event set for April 16, 2011 which will be headlined by various musical acts including DJ Neil Armstrong, DJ Hiro, Medina, DJ Soul, Just Blaze and Roxy Cottontail.

Since the Japan earthquake disaster struck, I’ve been dwelling on ways to most effectively help our friends there. As you all know, lots of people are doing lots of things. But they all felt slightly “off” to me. I saw a tweet that summed it up perfectly: “If you’re going to donate, just donate. Don’t make people retweet, like, buy things, etc. Don’t abuse tragedies for your own personal gain.” Don’t get me wrong, no disrespect, everyone’s assistance helps a lot. But personally, for me, I just didn’t want to make something…to add another “thing” to the world, and then have to sell that “thing” in order to help people. I just want to help. And I want those who help to be able to let other people know how to help.
So still…I thought, something must be done. Especially in our industry. We owe much to Japan—if not everything.

We are organizing an event in NYC on Saturday 4/16/11 to bring people together; get them to donate directly to Red Cross Japan and then represent with this button. You don’t have to buy a product. There’s no “portion of sales” of anything…We’re just giving those that choose to support a means of telling the world around them to do the same.

Staple Design serve up a short preview into their 2011 spring collection dubbed “Film School.” The brand has always been inspired by a scholastic agenda as this season’s cinematography will factor in heavily into the collection. Interpretations will be based on relaxed silhouettes with variations in pattern and colors.

STPL introduce a familiar sight in this season’s headwear offerings. The NORTHSHORE 5-PANEL features a camp cap-style design in a two-tone motif. Regular fans of STPL and the sneaker world will also recognize the use of the iconic STPL pigeon on the front of the cap. With a breathable fleece material, the cap presents itself as a suitable winter choice for headwear. Available now at REED SPACE with a retail price of $40 USD.

Drop two of the The History of Oakley by Staple Design Collection is available today. This release, like its predecessor includes two styles. One representing the past, and one from the present: The Razor Blade, circa 1997 and The Jawbone which features SWITCHLOCK™ Technology. The SWITCHLOCK™ technology from Oakley allows the lower part of the frame rim to open allowing for easy access to quick lens changing.

The Staple version of the Razor Blade, is blue with an Ice Iridium lens and features a hand-painted design making each piece unique onto itself. Understandably, The Razor Blade is available in very limited quantities and will be shipped to a select number of Oakley retailers including the Reed Space. The Jawbone however is available at oakley.com as well as Oakley Flagships.

Preparing for their special launch event tomorrow night, jeffstaple reveals two eyewear models that are surely the wildest shades we’ve seen this year. Both the Oakley Radar and Eyeshade make a comeback from the Oakley archives, each decked out in a fitting colorway and theme, reflective of each of the major sports Oakley has had a impact in throughout the years. Both release tomorrow at The Reed Space, with further information available here. Stay tuned for a closer look into the other styles in the coming weeks.

The STPL 2010 spring/summer collection’s second delivery continues on with the theme of “Econ Major”. With a barren Wall Street as the backdrop, four new styles for the 2nd delivery include the Marshall Jacket, the McFadden Nylon Cycling Jacket, the Arrow Chambray Denim Shirt and the Schultz Guayabera Shirt. Available now at Reed Space.

Largely considered to be their best line to date, STPL pull the covers off their 2010 spring collection. The first series of items include some solid outerwear pieces paired with classics in the form of shirts, hats and denim. It is also worth noting that most of the collection is now produced in Japan. The lookbook was shot in New York’s Financial District, with landscapes in addition to various looks, to further establish a sense of the setting.

Following up on its Summer Kangol Pigeon Sunshade Cap project, Staple linked up with Kangol yet again on two caps for the Holiday season, including a 100% Lambswool rib knit Military Cap, built with a buttery napa leather trim, and Brennan Melton Wool Cap, featuring convertible flaps to keep your ears nice and warm when you need it. Suede leather binding, flannel lining, and tiger camo offer additional flair. Both styles are now available at Reed Space with other select Staple retailers soon to follow.
