Prominent DJ and Dim Mak founder Steve Aoki and cohort Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo have joined forces for a new musical endeavor called Rifoki. It’s their take on hardcore, created as tribute to their musical background in hardcore music, long before they became renowned producers. Lead single “Zombie Attack” has proven to be a strong debut and has now received the video treatment. Directed by K.J. Palkiewicz, this visual journey is just as exuberant as the song itself. Zombie Attack will be featured on their upcoming self-titled EP, set to release April 13th via Dim Mak Records.

A man of many hats, ranging from international DJ to record and clothing exec with Dim Mak, Steve Aoki aka DJ Kid Millionaire gave us a tour of the place he calls home. Aside from checking out his record collection, tees and shoes, Aoki opened up and touched upon a few different interesting and insightful topics. The world of music has inevitably changed, thanks largely in part to the Internet, as methods of communication have created a much easier platform to get in touch with people around the world. Dependent on the crowd and gig at hand, Aoki has the ability to cater exclusively to the mood with an unmistakably electric personality.

The WESC Steve Aoki Japan Tour made its stop the other day at WOMB in Tokyo for a special performance following the recent Star Trek theme. The event was jam packed with a load of fans and enthusiasts alike, not to mention an appearance by some Japanese industry heavyhitters including Big-O, Kiri, and the swagger family.
