Having been a longtime stockist of the Mark McNairy footwear program, Atlanta-based boutique Standard recently lent its creative vision to a limited edition Mark McNairy Brogue Boot Spring/Summer 2012 capsule collection. The collaborative effort comes to fruition via a trio of premium footwear iterations featuring a mid-top seven eyelet brogue boot. Chromatic flannel textiles mark a refined contrast against the supple leather upper of each rendition. Metal eyelet hardware is home to both waxed leather and tube lace options, while a stitch-down leather outsole and white Vibram Cristy outsole option serve as the foundation for the sophisticated range. Traditional brogue detailing runs its course through the entirety of the upper, while a soft interior tan leather completes the aesthetic. Retailing for $485 USD, availability is now offered in-store or online through Standard.

The PK Ripper Fixed Gear is the 3rd installment in a series of limited edition bike projects from DC and SE Racing. Within this run of 1,000 (in the US), The Standard has micro customized twenty of these PK Rippers to reflect the New York hotel’s signature black and gold style. Fifteen bikes will be available for complimentary use by The Standard New York hotel guests while five are available for purchase now at The Standard’s online shop for $1,250 USD.

Details include: A matte black frame complemented with gold details, anodized gold front rim and small gold logo badge on the seat tube, and a Standard logo is embossed into the custom leather seats. The Standard’s version also has a reversible back hub and rim that allows the bike to easily convert from fixed to freewheel as well as Floval tubing, a Landing Gear fork, a looptail rear end.

As many people set their sights on the sophomore colorway of the Nike Sportswear Air Yeezy in black/pink over the last few days, the good people over at Standard lined up an interesting element to their release. After years of having their feet planted firmly in the Atlanta lifestyle market, Standard opened the doors to it’s second location in Lenox Square. To commemorate the expansion, Standard has partnered up American footwear giant DC Shoes for their first collaborative efforts. The goal in this collaboration was to represent design elements that have always been strongly present in the motif of Standard. The true red color embodies the strong presence of red accents at both locations along with the green laces and insole, which represent the artificial turf that covers the floor at the new store, as well as the live turf used at various events at the original location.
