A reception party for SA Studios Global E3 was recently thrown at Gram and Papas in Los Angeles. In addition to food and live music, the event also featured pieces from several local artists including Mister Cartoon, David Choe, Patrick Martinez and Estevan Oriol. SA Studios: Danny Trejo

As close associations of Latino actor Danny Trejo, SA Studios and Estevan Oriol offer viewers an intimate look into Danny Trejo. Often cast as a villain or a hard-nosed character, Trejo shows a much softer and compassionate side and stresses the importance of giving back.

SA Studios: Lowriding with Mister Cartoon and Danny Trejo

Twentieth Century Fox commissioned SA studios to produce a promo video for Robert Rodriguez’s upcoming film Machete. The film stars L.A. native, and Mexican cult hero Danny Trejo, and the video, directed by Estevan Oriol, posits Trejo alongside another L.A. and Mexico representative, Mister Cartoon as they cruise through East LA in lowriders. The two describe the lowrider culture as a family affair and describe some of the technical aspects of the cars and the culture which has blossomed across California. Look out for the film in theaters come September 3rd.

SA Studios x Righteous Kill Movie Poster

In the meeting of two colossal pairings, Mister Cartoon and Estevan Oriol of SA Studios were chosen to help create the movie poster for Overture Films’ upcoming motion picture Righteous Kill starting Robert De Niro and Al Pacino. Also within the creative mix is leading art brand Upper Playground, as this poster represents the debut of an ongoing partnership between UP, SA Studios and Overture Films. This August, SA Studios will open up the SA Studios x Righteous Kill Downtown LA Experience featuring movie merchandise and signed lithographs by Mister Cartoon and Estevan Oriol. The movie Righteous Kill opens up September 12th, 2008.
