Director Tsutomu Murofushi once again takes the reigns behind directing a video preview for Japanese street wear label Roc Star’s 10th anniversary collaborations. Showcasing the drop to the house sounds of The Lowbrows new album, Roc Star teams up with Italian streetwear label 55DSL presenting t-shirts and hoodies each highlighting their message of New Look, New Sound New Dance.

Earlier this month, ROC STAR and Stussy announced a new collaboration to celebrate ROC STAR’s 10th anniversary. To commemorate the release, ROC STAR’s DJ DARUMA and DJ MAAR are at the center of a promotional video documenting them on the 1s and 2s during a Stussy party. Consisting of a stadium jacket and t-shirt, the Stussy x ROC STAR capsule is available now through swagger stores throughout Japan.

High-profile stylist Nicola Formichetti was the catalyst for an upcoming project titled TOPMAN JAPAN COLLABORATION. The collection features three different entities chosen by Formichetti including AMBUSH, ROC STAR and HEATH. For AMBUSH’s involvement, their capsule was titled “Kings Among Men” and was represented by a baseball-style crown and jacket inspired by the styles of Vivienne Westwood. ROC STAR’s “Adventure” featured a t-shirt and hoodie combo while HEATH rounded out the collection with a traditional tweed inspired outfit. The collection will be available starting September 16th at TOPSHOP Shinjuku Tokyo, SOHO NYC and Oxford London.

Stussy and renowned Japanese label, ROC STAR have put together a preview for their Fall 2010 capsule collection. Included within the collection are co-branded varsity jackets, bucket hats, and tees. Each and every piece bears the Stussy and ROC STAR insignia, and both the varsity jacket and bucket hat are accented with leather highlights. The collection is loud and unmistakable, and will be offered in Japan during the month of October at Stussy and ROC STAR retailers.

Japanese street brand ROC STAR welcome Fall/Winter with another interesting collection full of color, patterns, and overall crazy designs. Evident throughout the lineup are several key collaborations for the new season, including projects alongside AMBUSH, God’s Prey, Revolver, Lee, and Stussy, which makes for quite an extensive collection. All take on a real throwback, 90s aesthetic with highlights including a leather bucket hat, varsity jackets, a denim trucker jacket, and plenty of graphic t-shirts. ROC STAR will celebrate its 10th anniversary this year as the Tokyo streetwear entity aligns with REVOLVER on a commemorative 10th anniversary t-shirt. Inspired by the going-ons of Tokyo’s vibrant Harajuku ward, three different colors will release. The yellow version will release as a special ROC STAR colorway. The t-shirt will release in the first half of 2010.

The sensibilities of a grid pattern button-up are re-mixed with flannel sleeves and are a stern representation of ROC STAR’s approach to continual re-appropriation.
