Danish label Norse Projects has teamed up with Pro-Keds on this pair of kicks for 2012 spring/summer. Named the Royal Master, a premium suede construction and cap-toe set this sneaker apart while three colorways with matching laces are available thus far. Subtle details accent this shoe including a rear leather tab and a dual-branded label on the tongue. With this release, Norse Projects uses the classic Pro-Ked silhouette as a canvas, showcasing their reliably stylish and contemporary design aesthetic. A release is set for February 1 at the Norse Store.

PRO-Keds introduces a new model from their upcoming fall collection, the Phantom. The Phantom high-tops feature an all-leather upper with perforated panels included throughout. PRO-Keds hit a homer at PROJECT with a special collaborative version of its Royal Hi, produced alongside storied baseball bat company Louisville Slugger. Designed using premium baseball glove leather, the shoes sport a beautiful makeup with superior detailing, including embossed branding, cork insoles and even a mini baseball bat keychain. A special box is expected to complete the package which looks to drop later this year.

In this video presented by PRO-Keds, we’re offered a brief glimpse into the world of the Mad Decent crew. Headquartered in Los Angeles, the creative team consisting of Diplo, Paul Devro and Skerrit Bwoy have churned out a slew of club-appropriate mixes and continue their run as fixtures in the party circuit. Following the crew for a short period of time, PRO-Keds was able to sit down with the guys and discuss music, partying and their way of life, even accompanying Skerrity Bwoy to their weekly “Blow Your Head” party at Little Temple in LA. On June 26, PRO-Keds launched their first-ever collaboration with the legendary emcee, DJ and actor Biz Markie by throwing a party and backyard barbecue at Packer Shoes. PRO-Keds link up with hip-hop heavyweight Biz Markie on a special set of the brand’s iconic 69er low. Done up in a premium leather motif, the shoes come in both olive green and black colorways (limited to 300 each), with an additional white joint made exclusive to Packer Shoes (limited to 150). Additionally, the kicks feature a gold stamp on the tongue showing off Biz’s mug and special insoles. These will see an official launch this Sunday, June 26 at Packer Shoes during the store’s joint Backyard BBQ with PRO-Keds. Only customers who purchase the shoes (in-store and online) will be able to attend the exclusive event which will see Biz perform live with special guests. All three colorways will be available for purchase in-store tomorrow and online Wednesday. Out-of-state orders will be shipped as usual. For Spring/Summer 2011, PRO-Keds is re-releasing one of its most classic styles in this newly updated perforated leather pack. First introduced onto the market back in 1969, the “PRO-Keds Super” (as it was then called) was a hit both on the court and off. Reaching the height of its popularity during the mid ’70s, the style was nicknamed “Uptown” by kids in Harlem and The Bronx and soon became a sneaker of choice for the pioneers of hip-hop.
