For a tidy sum in and around $1 million USD, entertainment’s modern day bad girl Lindsay Lohan made the jump to be forever immortalized in the world of Playboy. Set to cover the spread of the first issue of 2012, here’s a look at what to expect from the troubled star who very evidently has been styled to mimic a previously distressed Hollywood star, Marilyn Monroe.

Following last season’s collaboration, mastermind JAPAN and Playboy once again join forces to produce another capsule collection with the help of Theater8. Several items will be released including a sweater, denim jacket, pants, T-shirts and a blazer. The blazer features an original collage print first seen in the spring/summer capsule collection. The easily recognizable MMJ Skull and Playboy Bunny along with the collaboration-only Skull-Rabbit Head motif appear on most of the items in one form or another. The mastermind JAPAN x Playboy 2011 fall/winter capsule collection is set to release in November.

Playboy’s Cyber Girl of the Year 2008, Jo Garcia, certainly inspires you to dust off those old gaming consoles.  Featuring old favorites like Super Mario Brothers and Duck Hunt, and relic-like gaming experiences like Game Boy and the Power Glove, this is about as sexy a blast from the past can get. Garcia has always been known as an avid gamer, listing her favorites as Radiata Stories and Xenosaga trilogies. Playboy is celebrating the top 23 Air Jordans of all-time with this short video featuring Playmate Francesca Frigo. Assuming the unmistakable Spike Lee Mars Blackmon, Frigo gives everybody a heads up about the upcoming feature which also stars Playmates Jaime Edmondson, Jessica Burciaga, Patrice Hollis, Hiromi Oshima, Tiffany Taylor, Candice Cassidy, Kimberly Phillips and Heather Rae Young. The feature will launch on May 31 at Playboy.com.

For many generations, Playboy has served as the first taste of women for many. Becoming an American icon as well as a global one, the Hugh Hefner-founded Playboy magazine teams up with Supreme on a new collection for this season. Featuring Jason Dill, this lookbook showcases the intersection of both highly respected brands as the Playboy bunny logo is applied on a stadium jacket, polo, button-up and a coaches jacket. Select items will be available in-store and online in the U.S. on March 10 and in Japan on March 12.

The pre-TRON developments take to the sultry road with a photoshoot involving Playboy. As the movie’s instantly recognizable and preferred mode of transportation, the light cycle makes for an important prop as several scantily clad women pose seductively on the bike. Famed Hong Kong based streetwear label CLOT have teamed up with Playboy Condoms, educating teens on sensitive issues of safe sex, teenage pregnancy, abortion, and other sex related misfortunes that a growing number of teens encounter these days. For the collaborative project CLOT has designed a T-shirt with a hidden pocket hosting a Playboy condom and an imprinted message promoting the awareness and practice of safe sex. In a society dominated by glamour and glitz it’s great to see a brand use its influence and champion initiatives that affect the public on a greater scale. Taking an unorthodox approach to their November issue, Playboy Magazine assisted in The Simpson’s 20th Anniversary with a revealing spread featuring everyone’s favorite animated mom, Marge Simpson. Up until now many had only seen the cover, but the scandalous images are now surfacing on the net. For those feeling frisky, they can be seen below.

But for those who don’t like to forget the past and the legacy of Playboy, Kidrobot has put together two special toys with the quintessential men’s magazine. Playboy founder Hugh Hefner is given tribute in the Hef PEECOL by eBoy as it features the trademark PEECOL style with Hef’s influence. It features Hefner’s popular red robe and Playboy logo emblazoned sailor hat. Also seen is the “Miss November 1978″, designed by Paul Pope. November’s feature girl of 1978, Monique St. Pierre is seen in a 7.5 in vinyl form with thigh-high boots, cowl neck sweater and blond Farrah Fawcett-esque locks. Throughout the numerous Playboy models over the years, Monique St. Pierre’s spread was chosen by Pope for her “radical pose”, “strong and alluring attitude” and “rad boots”. Both figures will hit Kidrobot flagship stores, select retailers and Kidrobot.com, priced at $9.95 for the Hef and $60.00 for the “Miss November 1978″.

As a follow-up to last year’s 2007 “Rock the Rabbit” collection, the quintessential men’s magazine Playboy has once again revisited the fashion concept which features numerous guest artists creating their own Playboy inspired designs featuring the iconic rabbit logo.
